Already the media agency with the largest roster of clients in Egypt, OMD is closing the billings gap with the current market leader, growing by 26% in 2024. It added $13m in new billings in July-June 25 ($12.3m from nine new accounts and retaining $600K from existing clients). In line with its repositioning to “We Create What’s Next”, OMD has introduced customized innovation training sessions for several clients to help them optimize their strategies and stay ahead of industry trends. Its newly established OMD Digital Academy upskills employees on key platforms. The share of digital in its billings rose from 35% to 41% in just six months. This growth has led to a major investment in talent, both in terms of recruitment and upskilling. Today, women represent 52% of total employment and 10% of management positions. In the 12 months to June 25, OMD Egypt recruited 48 (+44%), promoted 40 and provided 53 hours of training on average per employee. Through this, the agency now has over 30 employees platform and AI certified. To attract and retain the best industry talent, the team introduced several employee well-being initiatives, including a Fun Squad and helping feed 1200 needy families during Ramadan.
