Andre Matarazzo

Global Director of Creative, Content and Communication , Majid Al Futtaim

André Matarazzo has been figuring out what makes people tick in six countries and five languages, which mostly taught him that the answer changes at every border.  He started as an art director in São Paulo in 1997, left in 2000 and spent five years collecting accents and Nike, Nokia and Nintendo work in Vancouver, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Tokyo, then went home and built Gringo into Latin America's most awarded digital shop and a hundred people, at which point WPP bought it. A decade of senior creative jobs followed, including relaunching Absolut Vodka globally from Sid Lee Amsterdam and running creative for Edelman across Europe, before he got impatient with how long everything took and founded The Sexy Beast to prove that a project scheduled for three months can be done in five days if you lock clients, creatives, sociologists and actual customers in one room and test the idea before falling in love with it. It worked, for Spotify, Pepsi, Unilever and KFC among others.  He now runs creative at SHARE, Majid Al Futtaim's loyalty ecosystem, which means turning points, tiers and math into brand love for one of the region's most beloved brands, in two languages across five markets. It is the hardest brief he has had, which is presumably why he took it.
